Professional Cable Organisation & Management Service for Sim Racing Setups
Cabling Management Service

Details

A well-organised cabling system is an important part of a clean, reliable and professional sim racing setup. With multiple components such as wheelbases, pedals, shifters, handbrakes, monitors, motion systems, USB hubs, power supplies and other peripherals, cables can quickly become tangled, difficult to trace and vulnerable to accidental disconnection or damage. SIMR Garage SimSports provides professional cable management services for existing simulator setups to improve cable organisation, accessibility and the overall appearance of the simulator.

Our service includes an assessment of the customer's existing simulator cabling, followed by the organisation, routing and securing of power, USB, display, audio, network, motion and peripheral cables where applicable. Cables will be arranged around the simulator chassis and mounting structure using suitable cable management methods such as cable ties, reusable Velcro straps, clips, sleeves or cable channels, depending on the existing setup. Particular attention will be given to maintaining sufficient cable length and movement allowance for adjustable or moving components, especially motion simulator systems.

Upon completion, SIMR Garage SimSports will perform a final inspection to ensure that cables are appropriately secured, accessible for future maintenance and positioned to minimise unnecessary strain, obstruction or accidental disconnection. The objective is to achieve the best practical cable arrangement using the customer's existing simulator configuration while maintaining functionality, serviceability and a clean overall appearance.

Scope of Service Includes:

  • Inspection and assessment of the existing simulator cabling

  • Organisation and routing of power, USB, display, audio, network and peripheral cables

  • Cable management for wheelbase, pedals, shifter, handbrake and other simulator accessories

  • Cable management for motion systems and actuators, where applicable

  • Securing cables to suitable chassis or mounting points

  • Separation and organisation of cables where practical

  • Provision of appropriate cable slack for moving or adjustable components

  • Basic cable labelling for easier identification, where required

  • Use of standard cable ties, reusable Velcro straps, clips or sleeves, where applicable

  • Removal or rerouting of unnecessary or poorly positioned cables where practical

  • Final inspection, tidy-up and basic connectivity check after cable management work

Service Limitation & Disclaimer

This service is performed using the customer's existing simulator equipment, cables, power supplies, connectors, mounting points and hardware unless otherwise agreed. SIMR Garage SimSports will make reasonable efforts to achieve the best possible cable arrangement based on the existing simulator configuration, available space and physical limitations of the equipment.

SIMR Garage SimSports shall not be held responsible where the desired cable arrangement cannot be fully achieved due to limitations of the customer's existing setup, including cables that are too short or excessively long, insufficient mounting points, incompatible connectors, fixed cable routing, restricted chassis design, damaged cables or connectors, or other hardware-related limitations.

The standard service does not include the repair or replacement of faulty or damaged cables, connectors, power supplies, USB hubs or other components. Where additional items such as extension cables, USB hubs, cable sleeves, cable channels, brackets, clips, adapters or other materials are required, SIMR Garage SimSports will advise the customer accordingly. Any additional hardware, replacement parts, modification work or services outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately and carried out only with the customer's approval.

For motion simulator systems, certain cables may require additional slack or specific routing to accommodate actuator movement, traction loss, surge or other motion axes. As a result, achieving a completely concealed cable arrangement may not always be practical or advisable. Operational reliability and safe movement will take priority over cosmetic appearance.
